This was the next stage of our graffiti drone development. This time the graffiti drone came to the street.
The project took place in Kiev. It began with Coca-Cola deciding to advertise Sprite in Ukraine in an unusual way. Coca-Cola hired the world’s largest advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, which, in turn, hired Ukrainian event company – All Motion, who hired us to provide graffiti drone for the task.
Our graffiti drone had to draw Sprite Mural on one of the walls in Kiev. Sprite held a competition to select a picture. Different artists composed the final image from existing elements. Anyone could produce a sketch from these elements. Internet users voted for the hundred best designs, and the jury chose the best from them. The picture of Daria Kapustinskoe won and, then the time has come for our automatic graffiti drone.
The task was not easy. The image six by six meters had to be placed at the 14 meters height! The process took place on the street of autumn Kiev and not in quiet conditions of the closed room.
The work took four days. The first day was spent on installation of the localization and positioning system. And then there were three days of the drawing. The picture took about 40 cans of paint! But the work was worth it – as a result, a real mural appeared on the wall. Now we can say that our graffiti drone went not only to the street but also to a new artistic level.
